What We Do

What We Do

Poured Out believes every community deserves the opportunity to access clean drinking water. In order to achieve this goal, Poured Out seeks to enable individuals to access clean water through various filtration techniques, educate communities in working and maintaining these units, and empower those who share our concern in providing those things. We design, build, and install filtration systems in an international setting. Currently we are working in Haiti.

Poured Out US Disaster Response seeks to be first-on-the-ground response to communities who have been struck by natural disaster. We help local churches by providing the necessary knowledge and equipment to help deal with the crisis around them after a natural disaster. We also connect willing volunteers to tools and homeowners needing help after a storm. We muck out homes, clean up debris, cut down dangerous trees, repair roofs, distribute goods, and ensure people get the help they need as quickly as possible.

Poured Out is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization as we use the donations we are given to aid the communities we are serving. Our staff raise their own support with limited administrative support from the organization.

1045238_10151711963714738_1316968735_nJared Markey

Asst. Disaster Site Manager

Jared’s first experience with disaster relief  was at a small tornado disaster in Dexter Mi. As a high school graduate he was seeking to know where his place was in life and as soon as he stepped on a disaster relief site he knew this was what god had called him to do. His background in building and construction trade and experience in repairing equipment as well as being technically savvy makes him a great asset to the team. His 6 weeks spent helping on the NYC site after superstorm sandy further strengthened his calling to the disaster relief work and the mold remediation division of Poured Out. In spring of 2013, Jared had the opportunity of going to Haiti and help in installing a Water house system as well as installing bio-filters up in the mountains. Jared also served in Moore Oklahoma after the EF 5 that hit that city and spent 6 weeks serving with teams from all over the country. Currently Jared balances his time working a part time job but is in the transition of becoming a full time missionary with Poured Out. “Serving others in a real practical way is the ultimate calling on my life and i cannot think of a better way of doing that than through poured out whether on US soil or in Haiti or other 3rd world countries!”

Our Missionaries

Poured Out Missionaries

Poured Out’s Carlee Greene, Steve Adams,  Levi Adams, Chris Steinle, and Greg Edmonds have taken the huge step of becoming full-time missionaries for Poured Out! The organization’s founders have both resigned from their ‘day jobs’ and are in the process of raising support to be fully available to work for Poured Out.

To those who have/are donating to make this possible, we thank you greatly! With Steve, Carlee, Levi, Chris, and Greg working full-time, we believe Poured Out will experience amplified growth through the year 2013.
